

MIREILLE MOLETTE
Born in France, where she grew up, Mireille moved to England, then to the United States, in Maryland, and finally settled in Northern Virginia.
She studied at the Corcoran School of Art and at the Art League of Old Town Alexandria. She developed a passion for portrait painting (people & pets) but also likes painting land/seascapes and still lifes.
She is inspired by the works of the Old Masters and those of the more contemporary ones like portraitists Nelson Shanks and Daniel Greene.
She works in oil and pastel in a realistic/impressionistic style.
She exhibited in Northern Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, St. Petersburg (Russia), Delhi (India), and Cairo, Luxor, & Aswan (Egypt).
She is a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, the Portrait Society of America, and the Maryland Pastel Society.
